Talk Talk, which introduced the first so-called ‘free’ broadband bundled package in April of this year, was featured on consumer TV programme ‘Watchdog’ last night.

Viewers have sent hundreds of complaints in letters and emails every month.

Angry customers featured on the programme included a customer who signed up for the service in May but was never connected and lost her details on three occasions.  The highlight being a 56 minute phonecall to customer services.

Another featured customer complained of being billed after he cancelled his contract.

Nicky Campbell from the programme went to meet Charles Dunstone, boss of Talk Talk to explain what has gone wrong.  Dunstone stated that half a million have already signed up and the offer has been so successful that the company has been overwhelmed.

Dunstone also added: “I got it wrong.  I didn’t realise that free broadband was going to have the effect on people it has”.

  1. That’s a good first step for mr Dunston, now he just has to admit it to the customers that his team of vultures at the carphone warehouse con, trick and rip off on a daily basis. myself being one of his victims, I will supply full details to any newspaper or web publisher.
