According to reports, an outage occurred yesterday afternoon on the Orange LLU broadband network, affecting thousands of subscribers. The BBC news website became aware of the problems when users sent comments complaining that they could not connect.  Orange told the BBC news website that the fault was caused by “network equipment failure”.

Although many have now been reconnected, thousands are currently still without their broadband service.

Orange recently took over broadband provider Wanadoo and effectively continues to offer the same service under the Orange brand.

There is no mention of the outage on the Orange website at the time of writing.
