V21 has announced that it has begun reconnecting customers to parent company Biscit, after a commercial dispute.

Customers of V21 prior to Biscit’s takeover of the company, were connected via wholesale provider Netservices PLC. A commercial dispute about unsettled invoices between V21’s new owner Biscit and Netservices, left around 9,500 customers disconnected by Netservices.

The first wave of customers have been reconnected to Biscit’s network. The process will continue for all customers who reconfirmed broadband requirements to Biscit via V21’s website.

Hugh Paterson, V21’s chief executive officer said in a statement: “For many V21 customers, 15/11 was possibly the blackest day in British broadband history and NetServices has much to answer for. For very obvious reasons, bar the fact that many, if not all of my counterparts across the industry will be wary of doing business with NetServices going forward, further comment cannot be made at this stage.”
