According to reports, Virgin Media and BT have made approaches to the Pipex group.

Pipex recently announced that it instructed bank UBS to investigate various options, one of which may lead to a possible sale of the group.  Pipex is now understood to be for sale for around 335 million pounds.

In the battle to gain more customers and survive in the cut-throat broadband market, it appears that Virgin Media and BT are most keen, but it’s likely that several other ISPs are also interested.
