BT’s Digital Vault backup service now includes extra storage capacity.

BT Total Broadband customers now have 5GB of storage for the backup of important files.  An auto backup facility is also available free for the first six months for new Option 1 and 2 customers until 17/10/07.  However, Option 3 customers receive it for free.  The Auto Backup facility does an automated back-up of files when they are added or changed according to user preferences.

A basic 1GB storage service is also available free to non BT Total Broadband customers.

Emma Sanderson, director of value-added services at BT Retail, said: “Our research has shown that many consumers are not safely storing their precious photos and files, not thinking about it until it is too late and they have lost everything.   Now we are making it easy for BT Total Broadband customers to securely store, backup and share their digital valuables in one place online.”
