UK Online have announced they are waiving the £25 connection fee for this month on its business broadband service.

The BSkyB owned ISP is offering the service it says, as part of its commitment to delivering broadband to the country’s 4.1 million small businesses with less than ten employees.  In a recently comissioned survey of 588 decision makers in small businesses, it found that two-thirds of these were still operating without an internet connection.

Chris Stening, Managing Director, UK Online commented: “The small business sector represents the backbone of the UK economy, and accounts for almost one third of all private sector employment. This offer will give small businesses in the UK the chance to get started and get on in business, enabling them to connect with their customers and suppliers in the online space while getting excellent value for their investment.”

UK Online’s recently launched business broadband service offers better service levels than a standard consumer package as well 24×7 UK based freephone technical support, up to 8Mb, 20 e-mail addresses and free McAfee Internet Security Suite.
