Zen have launched a new voice calls package priced at £4.99 per month.

The new ‘Zen Broadband Voice’ package offers 1000 anytime minutes over their Internet connection to a UK landline.  Calls to other Zen Broadband voice customers are free, as are calls to Zen Internet.  The voice package can only be used with a Zen broadband connection.

There is only a one month minimum contract term, so customers can try the service for a month to see if works out for them, and more importantly, is saving them money.  There is no minimum call connection charge.  Customers can also monitor their call charges via a secure web portal.

Zen advises customers to use a softphone or the “Speedtouch 780WL”, which has an integrated analogue telephone adaptor and is currently being offered by Zen for £58.74.

Stephen Warburton, Strategic Partnership Manager at Zen said:  “The Voice service is an excellent add-on to our broadband packages. We have had many queries on whether we would be introducing a residential/SoHo phone service, so we are delighted to be able to introduce Zen Broadband Voice. We are always looking for ways to improve our product range, and customer feedback is vital to allow us to do this.”
