Continuing to turn up the pressure, mobile operator 3 launches what is currently the cheapest laptop and mobile broadband deal.

The laptop in question is a Compaq Mini 700 netbook.  OK, so not a full blown laptop, but it’s really compact, will handle email and web browsing just fine and weighs just over 1kg.  It’s compact and light enough to lug around anywhere.  For Vista haters, it comes with Windows XP home.  It also has a 60GB hard drive and uses an Intel Atom N270 processor.

Of course the only downside is the 24 month contract, but for £20 per month, it’s great if you want a compact laptop for just web browsing and regular Internet usage without paying the upfront cost of a laptop.
