Today, the new iPhone 3G S is officially available to buy online and in stores across the country.
Among the features on the new iPhone are a longer battery life, voice control and HSDPA (3.5G) support for faster web surfing speeds up to 7.2Mbps. However, O2’s network only supports theoretical maximum speeds of 3.6Mbps at the moment and depends on coverage.

The original iPhone is still available to buy but the price hasn’t been dropped by O2, despite Apple announcing a reduction in the retail price.
The 3G S is said to have over 100 new features according to the O2 website. Here are some of the ones that grabbed our attention:
- New multi-touch cut, copy and paste feature
- Voice control for playing music and making calls
- Up to 32GB of storage available
- Video recording in landscape or portrait mode
The iPhone 3G S is available now from free exclusively on O2, costing from £34.26 per month.
