Apple’s latest creation, the iPad is to ship from late March onwards according to the Apple website, but no UK prices are available yet.

The basic Wi-Fi version will begin shipping in late March with the 3G model following on in April.  Pricing is due to be announced, meaning it probably hasn’t finalised who will be selling it.

Amongst other things, Apple claims the iPad is the best way to experience the web.  For the best possible web experience, users would probably prefer the 3G option rather than be constrained to using the tablet device with their wireless network at home or in a cafe somewhere.  So some may just wait it out until the 3G version appears.

The iPad has received all kinds of reviews, from positive to those questioning where it fits in amongst the iPhone and a standard netbook.  However, it being Apple’s newest gizmo, it will certainly have its fair share of fans.
